Originating from fishermen's sweaters of the Aran Islands in Ireland, Aran knit is characterized by its rope-like stitches reminiscent of fishing ropes. At BEAMS PLUS, we have created a design that expresses different knit patterns in a patchwork style. It is made by combining four types of knit patterns, such as a cable pattern reminiscent of fishing nets and a diamond pattern said to represent a fisherman's basket. This cardigan is based on classic Aran knit with a casual essence added.
