This soft wool cap is crafted in Italy using a sliver knitting machine to knit the thick, soft wool found in the Shetland Islands in northern Scotland. The sliver knitting machine allows the wool to be knitted without twisting, resulting in a fluffy texture that traps warm air within the fibers, providing excellent insulation. The design is similar to the waffle knit cap, but the width is slightly wider due to its less stretch.
